FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Greenfield Parents,

This past weekend was such a special time at our Father Daughter Dance Enchanted Forest with the theme from 1 Corinthians 11:1 which says,  “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” I shared with the Fathers how my Dad taught me so much growing from mowing the lawn to driving a car, but the most important thing he taught me was to love the Lord and read my Bible each day.  The image of my dad sitting either at his desk or on the kitchen table praying and spending time in God’s word is etched in my mind.

As a parent I too, led by example to my kids by spending time in God’s word each day, and in a place in the house where my kids would see me…. on my living room couch.  This verse is a beautiful reminder of what it means to live a life that points others toward Christ. As parents we have the incredible privilege of being examples for our children, guiding them not just with our words but through our actions, attitudes, and faith. What do your kids see you doing most of the time?

When Paul encourages us to follow his example, he is not merely asking us to imitate his behavior in a superficial way, but to follow his heart as he follows the heart of Christ. Christ, the perfect example of love, humility, and grace, is the one we seek to reflect in our lives. We are called to guide our children in the same way, helping them to not only understand Christ’s teachings but to witness the transformative power of following Him.

As we navigate the challenges and joys of life together, I encourage you to consider how you can be an example to your children of faith in action. This is a powerful opportunity to show them what it means to live out our values, love our neighbors, and rely on God’s guidance each day.

Please know that I am here to support you in this journey.  Together we can strive to be the kind of examples that lead our children toward the love and grace of Christ.

Thank you for the privilege of partnering with you in this important role of spiritual mentorship. May we all continue to grow in faith, and may our children see in us the love of Christ, reflected in everything we do.

Impacting the world for Christ,

Annual Diaper/Formula Drive is February 12th-March 7th.

This is our 7th year doing the diaper drive. We are doing something a little different this year.  We are asking for diaper sizes 4, 5, and 6 and cans of formula. We have a small group of teachers going to Mexico over spring break and will deliver the diapers and formula to Mission Ministries for the area pastors to be able to distribute.  Help us beat our number from last year!
