Administrative Positions


The Vice-Principal is appointed to assist in the leadership of the Greenfield K8 campus at Gilbert Christian Schools (GCS). The focus of the position is to provide leadership for the continued development of academic excellence in the classroom, while carrying out biblical ministry with teachers, staff, students, and families. The Vice-Principal assists the principal in the development of a positive school climate for staff, students and parents. This position is directly connected to the ministry and vision of GCS and is to be carried out as part of GCS’ mission to “Partner with parents to prepare the next generation to impact the world for Christ.”


Spiritual Leadership 

  • Provide leadership that demonstrates a deep personal commitment to the way of Christ
  • Lead staff, teachers, and students to a realization of their value and purpose in Christ
  • Ensure that the school campus work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving
  • Provide oversight that ensures that all is taught and communicated is Biblically-based.
  • Work with the teachers and staff to address the spiritual formation needs of the students
  • Lead in a way that can be characterized by Galatians 5:22-26 (Fruit of the Spirit)
  • Fully support the GCS Statement of Faith

Academic Leadership

  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Christian philosophy of education that will provide leadership and guidance in the school’s development of and commitment to a Christian worldview
  • Have knowledge of the school’s curriculum, standards, and mission
  • Ensure that integration of biblical principles and the Christian worldview occurs throughout the curriculum and activities
  • Assist with the master schedule and teacher assignments each year, ensuring that teachers are qualified to teach assigned courses
  • Ensure classrooms reflect a professional and Christian environment
  • Have knowledge of the physical/emotional development of children and understand the problems they face.
  • Assist leading the staff to focus on spiritual growth and student achievement
  • Ensure that instruction employs GCS best practices/methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child—spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional
  • Participate in continuous professional development through professional reading, college course work, in-services, workshops, and conferences

Administrative Leadership

  • Have the ability to accomplish the goals and objectives assigned by the K8 Principal, Superintendent and school policy
  • Develop leadership capacity among the members of your staff
  • Help the staff, students, parents and volunteers function efficiently, effectively, and productively
  • Understand supervision and how to lead in a positive manner
  • Provide an excellent learning environment by promoting Godly student behavior
  • Serve the team by faithfully contributing and being willing to serve your Principal, staff, teachers, students, and families
  • Assist with the hiring of qualified teachers and staff
  • Maintain a physical presence with the students by attending and, when possible, participating in school chapels, assemblies, athletics events, and other presentations
  • Coordinate and implement standardized testing including communications with parents and staff about resulting data
  • Assist with beginning-of-year staff orientation, staff devotionals, and staff meetings
  • Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents, or staff. 
  • Speak with honor and respect of children, parents and GCS staff
  • Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations in the classroom and school
  • Inform the Principal in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any assigned duty
  • Deal directly and frankly with the Principal in an earnest effort to resolve differences of opinion when they exist

Additional Duties/Responsibilities

  • Recognize the need for excellent public relations.
  • Represent the school in a Godly and professional manner to the school’s constituency and the general public
  • Support the broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when on campus and as part of a seasonal production
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered office and ensure that campus is maintained according to professional standards.

Faculty Positions


 Gilbert Christian Schools is searching for a part-time (17 hours per week) instrumental music teacher for Concert Band for students in grades 9 through 12 beginning with the 2024-25 school year. GCHS has a small but strong concert band program and we are looking for someone to help grow the program. Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Music degree and experience teaching and/or performing concert band music. The ideal candidate will have a teaching endorsement or certificate (e.g., State certification, ACSI certificate) in Music Education, a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.

Gilbert Christian Schools is searching for a part-time high school (Grades 9-12) American Sign Language (ASL) teacher beginning with the 2024-25 school year to teach 4 classes (27 hours/week). Candidates should be fluent in ASL and have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in ASL or ASL certification. While initially teaching ASL 1 and ASL 2, candidates must have the qualification and interest in growing the program to eventually provide instruction in ASL 3 and ASL 4. Expertise and experience teaching the subject from a biblical worldview is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have a teaching endorsement or certificate (e.g., State certification, ACSI certificate) in ASL and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.

Gilbert Christian Schools Agritopia Campus is searching for a part time (16 hour - two day per week) classroom resource aide. This is an office support role for teachers and staff. The primary responsibilities are managing classroom projects, copying, answering phone calls, and front desk assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, self-motivated, maintains confidentiality, and is joy-filled. This position is responsible for the assigned campus security as well as the overall safety of students and staff. This involves responsibility for monitoring and protecting each campus both during and after normal school hours. The primary emphasis in this position is to protect students, staff and families, as well as to deter vandalism, unlawful entry and unwarranted loitering on school properties.
