Agritopia 03.28.2025

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Hi Agritopia Families,

Over Spring Break, I took the time to read through Worry-Free Girls by Sissy Goff. As promised, this is the next book review following my previous review of Raising Emotionally Strong Boys. My hope is that these reviews provide helpful insight as we work together to raise children who are emotionally resilient and grounded in their faith.

In Worry-Free Girls, Sissy Goff, a seasoned counselor, addresses the growing issue of anxiety among young girls. She offers practical tools and biblically based guidance to help them navigate their fears with confidence. The book does a great job of explaining why so many girls struggle with worry today and provides parents with actionable steps to support their daughters in developing healthier thought patterns.

One of the book’s strengths is its emphasis on equipping girls with strategies to manage their emotions while leaning on God’s truth. Goff’s experience shines through in the relatable examples she shares, and many of her insights align with our goal of raising strong, faith-filled young women.

That said, I do want to note that there are a couple of minor mentions in the book that I personally do not agree with—the use of the Enneagram Test and the recommendation of Jesus Calling. If you would like more information, please send me an email.

Overall, Worry-Free Girls provides valuable perspectives on helping girls navigate anxiety while keeping faith at the center. I highly recommend this book and believe many parents will find it insightful and encouraging.

Educating with eternity in mind,

DRIVELINE REMINDER

Please remember that you cannot stop on Promenade Lane (road between the campus and the park) to pick up your middle school child. We are experiencing a backup in driveline from cars picking up younger children, then stopping on Promenade Lane to pick up their older children from the park. In order to relieve the traffic back up, please make sure that your children are only picked up at campus driveline.
