Greenfield 08.29.2025

From our Principal:

Dear Greenfield Parents,

In partnership with all of you, I wanted to address a matter that holds significant importance in shaping the minds and Christian worldview of our precious students. In a world increasingly dominated by digital media, it has become essential for us as parents and educators to guide our children toward making discerning choices in their media consumption.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness.”  Matthew 6:22-23

When it comes to media of all kinds, we must be alert and discerning, evaluating absolutely everything. I know this is a daunting task but you are not alone. We are here to help you protect your children.

On that note, I just received new alarming examples of the dangers of the Roblox platform. Please read this great resource, and view the video that Today reported about the alarming content.  No child of any age should use this platform.

Here are some ways you can be vigilant with social media platforms, movies, video games, and  television shows:

Content Evaluation: Take the time to review the content of movies, games, television shows, and social media platforms your child engages with. Consider whether they promote positive values, respect for others, and wholesome entertainment.

Age-Appropriateness: Ensure that the media your child consumes is appropriate for their age and maturity level. Many resources, such as Common Sense Media and Protecting Young Eyes, can provide guidance on age-appropriate content.

Family Values: Reiterate your family’s Christian values and expectations regarding media consumption. Encourage your child to make choices that align with these values.

Together, we can equip our students as they grow to make thoughtful media choices that reflect our Christian worldview.

Impacting the world for Christ,
