Hi Parents,
As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, we are filled with gratitude, and with Christmas quickly approaching, we have the opportunity to prepare our students’ minds and hearts to celebrate Jesus, God’s greatest gift. At GCS, we are committed to helping your children view life through a Biblical worldview, and when it comes to Christmas, we keep Christ at the center of all we do.
This year, we will be using The Advent Adventure: A Family Devotional by Daily Grace to guide both our elementary and middle school students. This resource highlights God’s plan of redemption, from the prophecies foretelling Jesus’s coming to the miraculous way He entered our world.
Each morning during elementary Pledge & Prayer, we will spend a few intentional minutes helping students see the Christmas story as part of God’s greater redemptive plan. Middle school students will also participate at designated times throughout December, to reflect more deeply on the significance of Jesus’s birth.
In all of this, our goal remains the same: to point our students to Christ. Through Scripture, prayer, conversations, and classroom activities, we want them to know that Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas and the greatest gift we could ever receive.
Educating with eternity in mind,

LOST & FOUND REMINDER
Please have your child stop by the lost and found next week to claim their own items.
AFTER-SCHOOL REMINDER
As a friendly reminder, we ask that families are mindful of the grassy “circle” areas within the neighborhood, as students have been gathering there to play after school. These areas are part of people’s front yards, so to respect their homes and privacy, we kindly ask that students and families avoid using these grassy pods after school. If you would like to take your child somewhere to play or to meet up with friends, please enjoy the park and the open field located across from the Agritopia campus. Thank you for helping us care for our community and be considerate neighbors!
PIE DAY
Tuesday, November 25th is our annual Pie Day! Each student can choose one slice of apple or pumpkin pie (whipped cream, too!) when they are finished eating their lunch.
If you would like to donate a pie or whipped cream, please sign up HERE and bring it to the front office by 3:30pm on Monday, November 24th.
To volunteer and help serve pie in the lunchroom, please sign up HERE.
