Dear Greenfield Families,
Next we will be celebrating “Knights’ Core Values Week”! This exemplifies who we are as GCS Knights, and most importantly who we are as Christ followers. Each day will have a theme color and a challenge for your students.
Knights’ Core Values Week:
Monday 8/18
- Wear BLUE for K – Know you were made in the image of God
- School Challenge: Explain to a friend or staff member why being made in God’s image is special.
- Home Extension: As a family, create a list of ways that we reflect God’s image. Pray through the list, asking God to help grow your family in these areas.
Tuesday 8/19
- Wear PURPLE/ORANGE for N – Nurture healthy, God honoring relationships & I – Inspire one another to be thinkers and learners
- School Challenge: Pray for a friend today, out loud.
- Home Extension: As a family, make a list of people and relationships that you can be praying for. Follow it up by reading 1 John 2:8-10 and Hebrews 10:24
Wednesday 8/21
- Wear BLACK /WHITE for G- Grow in wisdom AND H – Help one another achieve their academic potential
- School Challenge: Help a friend study and share your knowledge to help them succeed.
- Home Extension: As a family, memorize Proverbs 1:7 and discuss ways you can live out 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Thursday 8/22
- Wear GREEN/YELLOW for T- Thrive by using your God given gifts and talents
- School Challenge: Create a list of the gifts and talents God has given you.
- Home Extension: As a family, talk about the gifts and talents the Lord has given you, and make a plan as to how you will use them to further His kingdom
Friday 8/23
- Wear RED/PINK for S – Show the love of Christ to one another everyday
- School Challenge: Show the love of God to students and staff with our words and actions.
- Home Extension: Show the love of God to your family members with your words and actions.
The dress code rules for this week: The students are encouraged to wear a school appropriate shirt that matches the daily theme color. No other changes to what they can normally wear.
Dress Code Guidelines:
- Dress code bottoms (jeans, khakis, etc.)
- Shirts must have sleeves and no crop tops
- Students can wear GCS polos in these colors
- No crazy hair or face paint
We’re so excited to be personally challenged to live out our Core Values in this tangible way at home, on campus, and in the community. We’ve already begun to pray for God to reveal wonderful things about Himself to our students, staff, and parents as we seek to be light to our community for His kingdom purposes.

Driveline Reminder
*If you forgot your tag, please make sure you park and pick up your child. *Keep your driveline tags visible for staff for the entirety of driveline. The tags are used when you enter driveline and up front where students are loading.
*As always, please make sure you take a right at the end of driveline.
Volunteer Orientation
We will be having our Volunteer Orientation on Thursday, August 28th, from 9:15-10am. Whether you have volunteered or you are a new volunteer, we invite you to attend this orientation to learn the expectations of volunteering on our campus. Please RSVP HERE.

Family Mission Trip Interest Meeting
Have you ever thought about taking a mission trip as a family? Every Spring Break, a group of GCS families travels to Mexico to deliver diapers and build a home for a family in need. If you would like to learn more, join us for an informational meeting about our upcoming trip to Mexico, March 8-11, 2026, during Spring Break. This trip is perfect for families with children ages 6 and up.

Volunteer Information
Planning to volunteer this year? Please wear a GCS spirit or polo shirt to volunteer on campus for the 25/26 school year. You can purchase a polo HERE or grab one at our uniform exchange on 8/9.
All volunteers must have an Approved Background Check and Volunteer Agreement Form submitted. If you filled them out for the 23/24 school year, YOU ARE UP FOR RENEWAL and will need to fill them out again. If you filled one out for the 24/25, DO NOT need to fill a Volunteer Agreement or Background Check for the 25/26 next year. They’re good for 2 years. ALL NEW families need to fill them out.

Chess Club – It’s Not Too Late to Join
Calling all 1st–8th graders! Whether you’re brand new to chess or a seasoned strategist, Chess Club is the place to be. We meet Tuesdays from 3:30–4:30 PM, Aug. 12–Nov. 18. The course began on Aug. 12, but sign-ups will be accepted throughout the quarter, so it’s not too late to jump in. Learn to think ahead, outsmart opponents, and have a blast doing it. Soccer Stars – It’s Not Too Late to Join
Get ready to kick off the season with Soccer Stars for students K-2nd grade; where fun meets fundamentals! Each weekly session includes warm-ups, skill-building drills, team activities, and game time. Led by energetic coaches, your child will build confidence, coordination, and a love for the game. Almost Time! Drumline Club is Coming to Campus
Imagine the energy and school spirit of a live drumline—right here at Gilbert Christian Greenfield! We’re just about ready to launch this exciting new club, and we need your student to be part of the beat. No experience? No problem! Students in 4th–8th grades will learn drumming basics, jam with friends, and bring the rhythm to school events. We provide the drums, the music, and the fun—it’s hands-on, high-energy, and all about teamwork. Classes meet Fridays from 3:30–4:30 PM, Aug. 22–Oct. 3. HERE is the flyer for details.
Classical Ballet Club
Open to K–5 students, this beautiful beginning ballet class meets every Tuesday from 3:30–4:30 PM, Aug 26 – Dec 2, and wraps up with a special performance on December 6th!
Led by the talented Miss Kate, students will learn ballet fundamentals while also building confidence, discipline, and grace.
