FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Greenfield Parents,

As we continue to guide our children through their educational journey, it’s essential to remember the values that shape their character and the way they interact with others. As a Christian school we teach the students that respect, reverence, and responsibility are vital components of how we should behave not only at home, but also at school.

Respect: Respect is foundational to building positive relationships. It involves treating others, including teachers, peers, and staff, with kindness and consideration. This means listening attentively, valuing others’ opinions, and acting with patience. Jesus taught us to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31), which encourages our children to show empathy and understanding in their interactions.

Reverence: Reverence in a school setting is about honoring both God and the authority placed before us. This includes showing respect for the school’s rules, the teachers’, and the educational process. It also extends to revering God’s creation and treating each individual as someone made in His image. Teaching children to respect every moment, including time of prayer or reflection, can instill a sense of awe and thankfulness for their learning environment and keeps with what Matthew 7:12 says, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”

Responsibility: Taking responsibility is an essential part of growing up. Our children are learning to be accountable for their actions, their learning, and their relationships. Encouraging them to be diligent in their studies, to own up to their mistakes, and to contribute positively to the school community aligns with biblical teachings. Proverbs 12:1 tells us that “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,” which emphasizes the importance of responsibility in shaping a child’s character and future.

We encourage you as parents to continue fostering these virtues, and to partner with the school in encouraging your child to embody them in every aspect of their life. Together, we can help them grow into individuals who reflect Christ’s love in all that they do.

Impacting the world for Christ,

Annual Diaper/Formula Drive is February 12th-March 7th.

This is our 7th year doing the diaper drive. We are doing something a little different this year.  We are asking for diaper sizes 4, 5, and 6 and cans of formula. We have a small group of teachers going to Mexico over spring break and will deliver the diapers and formula to Mission Ministries for the area pastors to be able to distribute.  Help us beat our number from last year!
