Principal’s Paragraph
Dear Greenfield Families,
Fall Break has finally arrived! 🍂As your family enjoys the first two weeks of October, it could be so easy to exchange one busy routine for another. In this fast-paced culture, I encourage you and your family to seize this short season of the formative years and really spend quality time in the Bible, and to have open conversations about how we can respond to the world’s influences from a Biblical perspective. “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16.
Here are some resources that can help guide conversations:
- The Axis Team-Culture Translator
- Protecting Young Eyes-Creating safer digital spaces
As we recognize each day as a gift from God, it prompts us to live every day with purpose. Whether your break is full or open, discuss with your children how they can use the time they are given over fall break. I look forward to hearing about how you enjoy your Fall Break!

Athletics
Fall sports will be wrapping up at the end of October/early November and with that will be the beginning of our winter sports season! You will be receiving an email in the next few weeks with information on how to register your child if you have not yet done so. Just a reminder that if your son or daughter is going to participate in a winter sport they will need to have had a physical done within the last 12 months.
Also, we are anticipating adding another softball team this year due to the enthusiasm over the sport. To get an idea of numbers the coaches will be hosting a few open fields. Hope your daughter can attend!

GCS Youth Pitching Camp
November 2nd, 9:00am-12:00pm
The GCS Youth Pitching Camp allows players in 5th-8th grades to receive valuable instruction in the art of baseball pitching. Our goal is to equip pitchers with the tools they need to pitch at a high level. Players will go through a series of drills breaking down the mechanics, PFP (pitchers fielding practice), proper throwing progression, pick-offs, and the mental approach. Camp is led by GCHS Head Coach, Josh Bailey. Please reach out to Coach Bailey at [email protected] with any questions.
Check GCSKNIGHTS.COM for more athletic information.
