ALL APPLICATIONS GO THROUGH A 3-STAGE REVIEW PROCESS

1. Review

We review every application for completeness and fit with the GCS Family Profile:

  • Strong parent and/or student testimony in alignment with GCS’s Statement of Faith
  • Regular church attendance
  • Strong academic and behavioral track record

All references, testimonies, academic history, IEPs, and other relevant information are considered. Applicants may be asked to provide additional information, participate in a screening phone call, or complete placement testing.

Incomplete applications will be returned to the parent to complete and resubmit.

2. Wait Pool

Complete applications that have passed the review stage will be placed in the wait pool. We may request additional information if needed.

Final approval is contingent upon an in-person interview.

Interviews are conducted in recurring cycles as openings become available at the applicant’s grade level. An interview does not guarantee enrollment.

3. Enrollment

You will receive an email with instructions to submit an enrollment packet. The student’s birth certificate and immunization records will be required in order to submit this packet.

Please be prepared to pay a non-refundable $200 enrollment fee and a one-time per-family building fee of $750.

faq

In addition to completing the application forms, the following items are required to complete the application:

  • Current year report card or progress report
  • Previous year’s report card
  • Transcripts for all high school credits earned (if applicable)
  • Discipline records or a statement from the school stating there is no discipline history

Please answer all questions for each student. We process each application individually, and as such, we cannot cross-reference sibling applications. You may copy and paste from a sibling’s application by downloading the PDF of the application through your Application Portal.

References must be completed for each student. You may use the same person as a reference for multiple students, but that reference will need to complete the form for each student.

Applying to GCS is free. However, please be prepared to pay a non-refundable $200 enrollment fee and a one-time per-family building fee of $750 at enrollment.

Applications open in August for the upcoming school year.

If you forget your username or password, do not create a new account. Use the forgot password link to have a new temporary password emailed to you. If you forget your username/email, reach out to Admissions.

GCS is not certified to enroll international students.

Please do not submit multiple applications for the same student for the same school year. You must select a primary campus preference. In that application, you will be able to select other campuses in which you are willing to enroll. Once in the wait pool, your child’s application will be considered by all campuses that are of interest to you.

Applications cannot be rolled over to a future school year. If you are applying for a school year that has already started, please consider applying for the upcoming school year as well.

You are welcome to reach out anytime for an update on the wait pool numbers. Our wait pool is loosely organized based on application date. Other variables affect decisions on enrollment offers. For example, we give priority to siblings of current GCS students and children of GCS staff members.

We do our best to enroll as many students as possible, but we are limited by classroom space. To improve your chances of receiving an enrollment offer

  1. Apply early. Applications open each year in August.
  2. Be thorough. Applicants with a strong, thorough, and sincere testimony are more likely to be called for an interview.
  3. Be patient. While we do the bulk of our enrollment in February and March, many openings come available after that and even into the school year.
  4. Be willing to enroll your children separately. We always try to keep siblings together. If we only have an opening for one of your children, accepting that spot will improve your chances of future enrollment for siblings.
  5. We serve a big God!

When we send an enrollment offer, they typically have a 5-day deadline. Be prepared by having the following ready:

  • Completed enrollment paperwork
  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization records or immunization affidavit
  • $200 enrollment fee (non-refundable)
  • $750 building fee – this is a one-time per-family fee

Although we can service some students with IEPs and 504s, we are limited in the services we can provide, as we do not have a full resource department. We will review your child’s IEP as part of the application process to evaluate whether we can accommodate his/her needs.
