From our Principal
This week, I would like to highlight one of my favorite ways we partner with you, which is through our Student Care Team:
The GCHS Student Care Team is dedicated to supporting students in multiple aspects of their academic and personal development. Our Mission Statement is to “Guide students to be bold enough to use their voice, brave enough to follow their God-given dreams, and strong enough to pursue the life they were created to live.” We assist with college and career planning as well as helping students explore future opportunities to prepare for life beyond high school. We also provide guidance for students facing social struggles and personal challenges, offering encouragement and emotional support to help them navigate difficulties. Academically, we work with students to create individualized academic plans for each year, ensuring they stay on track for graduation while considering their strengths and interests. We offer encouragement and motivation, helping students build confidence in their abilities. Additionally, we provide suggestions for future plans, helping students make informed decisions about their next steps, whether that be higher education, vocational training, or entering the workforce. We play a vital role in ensuring students feel supported, prepared, and confident as they move forward in their academic journey and beyond. For more information on all that we do, please see our website: https://gilbertchristianschools.org/highschool-campus/guidance-counseling/
We look forward to partnering with you!

SENIOR ONLY WORSHIP & TESTIMONY NIGHT
GCHS Senior Students are invited to a special night of worship & testimonies in Mrs. Garza’s backyard. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chair. Save the date: April 5th @ 6pm. The address will be emailed out prior to the event.
EASTER ITEMS
Our Lumina Groups will be working to put together Easter Baskets for children at Sunshine Acres this spring. We are encouraging a friendly competition between small groups to bring in the items needed. During chapel on March 5th & March 26th, students are invited to bring in white lunch bags, paper grass, and candy. Please make sure these items are labeled with the small group leader’s name. Please no chocolate, as it melts.
SAFETY
Please drive cautiously when entering campus, especially by maintaining a safe speed. Due to ongoing construction, there are many blind spots, heavy machinery, and workers present. Slowing down will help prevent accidents and ensure everyone’s safety.
A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
Our boy’s soccer team (16-0) has won the 2025 AIA 3A Conference State Title! The Knights defeated Yuma Catholic 2-1 on Saturday via goals from Noah Cooper and Kai Lundberg to take the crown. We are so thrilled for this awesome group, and could not be more proud. Congratulations!
Boys basketball had a great weekend of its own, beating San Tan Charter 73-72 (OT) in the state semifinal to earn a place in the title game. The No. 2 Knights will face No. 1 Valley Christian tomorrow night (8:15pm) at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum (1826 W. McDowell Rd. Phoenix, AZ, 85007) to determine the 2025 State Champion! We hope to pack the stands for the last game of the year! All fans will need a ticket for entrance. Purchase your ticket HERE! A clear bag policy will be in effect for this contest.
Spring sports are up and running! This week we kicked off beach volleyball, golf, track and field, baseball, softball, and boys and girls tennis. Wow!
