High School 11.07.2025

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Gilbert Christian Families,

It was such a joy having our 8th graders on campus today! Their energy, smiles, and excitement for what’s ahead made the halls feel especially full of life. We can’t wait to welcome them as future Knights and see all that God has planned for their high school years.

I also want to take a moment to say thank you for your prayers and kind words for my family over the past few days. Your support has meant so much to me personally. Our community continues to remind me what it means to walk together in faith and encouragement. As a reminder, I will be in Toronto until Wednesday and will be back in the office on Thursday. Thank you for your continued prayers and grace during this time.

For such a time as this,

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

TGIF! Tonight is the big first round state football game in Payson! We hope to see our fans packing the stands as the Knights take on the Longhorns in the 2025 AIA 3A Tournament. The game is scheduled for 7:00pm. Winner advances! Purchase your tickets HERE!

Swim is currently competing in the 2025 state preliminary round at Phoenix Country Day School! The finals are on the docket for tomorrow, starting at 2:00pm! We can’t wait to see the Knights bring home some hardware!

Volleyball also begins its postseason journey this weekend, drawing a first round match versus Tuba City on Saturday at Millennium High School (3:00pm). A win would place the Knights in the 2025 AIA 3A Volleyball Quarterfinal on Saturday evening at 7:00pm.

Congratulations to our cross country teams who competed  in the 2025 AIA Sectional Meet on Thursday afternoon. Junior Asa Jones took the 2025 Division III Sectional Title for the Knights, edging three other runners in a photo finish to qualify for state in 16:11.97! Freshman Weston Ford was also excellent, placing 10th overall to score big points for the GCHS team, while claiming bragging rights as the fastest first year in the field. The boys XC team placed third in the meet and will compete for the state title next weekend. The girls were represented by junior Kodi Bell, who qualified as an individual for the AIA Championships with her placement in Thursday’s competition. Go Knights!
