High School 10.24.2025

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear GCHS Families,

It’s been such an incredible first week back on campus! The energy, excitement, and joy from our students have filled every hallway. What a blessing to see them reconnect, cheer each other on, and dive right back into learning and community life.

This week marked a huge milestone for our school, as we launched our first-ever live GCTV broadcast! Our students did an amazing job producing and hosting the show, sharing highlights from athletics, break, and upcoming events. We couldn’t be more proud of their creativity and teamwork.

👉 Watch the first GCTV Live Broadcast here.

We’re looking forward to all God has in store for this semester and are so grateful for your continued partnership in making GCHS such a special place.

For such a time as this,

High School Moms Fellowship & Bible Study – After Fall Break

We are excited to invite all HS moms to a special time of encouragement, faith, and community this fall! Beginning Monday, October 20th, through November 24th, we will gather each Monday morning from 8:30–9:30 AM.

This will be a space for moms to walk through this season of life together, without shame, with grace, and with joy in Christ. Our time will be centered around the book Well Watered Women by Gretchen Saffles, which helps women root themselves in God’s Word and flourish in every season of life.

You can purchase the book here: Well Watered Women – Amazon

We hope you’ll join us as we encourage one another, grow in our faith, and strengthen our relationships with Christ. Please sign up here.

The College Board provides the BluebookTM app, which includes practice digital test items and a downloadable full-length practice test on the SAT Suite of Assessments: Practice webpage. You will need to set up a College Board student account to access the practice test. It is suggested that students use an email other than their GCS one so that they will have access to their College Board scores after they graduate from GCS. You can also access the BluebookTM app on any GCHS Chromebook when you are at school. You can use your BluebookTM Sign-In Ticket that you got in your English class to access additional information.

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

Congratulations to our third-ranked girls flag football team, which captured its seventh straight win Thursday evening, defeating ALA–Ironwood in regional play. The Knights have just three matches remaining in the 2025 regular season. Don’t miss Senior Night on October 27th, when GCHS hosts Apache Junction in the final home matchup before postseason action begins.

More applause is in order for cross country standouts Asa Jones and Weston Ford, who both set program records this week. Jones broke his own all-time GCHS record, running a blazing 16:01.07 to take runner-up honors at Wednesday’s East Valley Invite. Ford topped his own freshman record, clocking 16:36.02 to finish eighth overall.

In the pool, Mackenna Bloom continued the record-breaking trend, swimming a school-record 2:01.75 in the 200 Freestyle to place fourth at the Charger Invite.

Finally, it’s a big night for No. 9 GCHS football, which travels to face No. 2 Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. Let’s pack the stands and back our Knights in their long-awaited rivalry showdown! Get your tickets HERE.
