Greenfield 09.26.2025

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Wonderful Greenfield Families,

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the spiritual discipline of prayer. At school, we have been lifting up prayers daily; prayers for your children, for our teachers, for our school, and for God’s work in our community. It is so important that our kids see and hear us praying, both at home and at school. Scripture reminds us that we are to pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17), to “ be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6), and that “the Spirit Himself intercedes for us” (Rom. 8:26).

I have seen the Lord answer some prayers quickly, while others remain in the waiting. Yet in all of it, God has strengthened my faith and reminded me that prayer is not optional, it is essential to walking with Him. A few years ago, I began praying Scripture over my own children and found it to be a powerful practice for my heart and theirs. If you would like a helpful resource to guide your own prayers for your kids, I encourage you to use this [31-Day Prayer Guide for Parents link].

As we focus on prayer this season, we also remember that God calls us not only to pray, but to act with compassion. James 2:17 reminds us that faith is shown through action.  We launched our Annual Food Drive this week, running through Oct. 3. As a school community, we have the opportunity to provide for those in need through donating food and supplies. All items collected will go directly to support AIM (American Indian Ministries), serving families on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. What a wonderful way for our students to see faith lived out in prayer and in action.

GCS Annual Food Drive ~ Please Bring the Following Items:

Impacting the world for Christ,
