FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Dear GCHS Families,

We are thrilled to share that our first Chapel and Small Group gatherings of the year were a great success! Our focus was on the theology and foundation of prayer. Students engaged deeply with the message, and we are excited to put what we’ve learned into practice during our next assembly.

Our Small Groups provided a meaningful time for students to connect with their peers, share insights, and encourage one another in their faith. It was a wonderful reminder that spiritual growth happens best in community.

We also had our first off-campus Friday, and it was a fantastic day of relationship building and service:

  • Freshmen enjoyed a morning at Main Event, strengthening friendships and creating memories together.
  • Sophomores and Juniors served in our community at Feed My Starving Children, demonstrating the heart of Christ through acts of service.
  • Seniors bonded on a scenic hike, enjoying God’s creation while building lasting connections with each other.

We are grateful for your prayers and support as we continue to build a year full of meaningful learning and fellowship.

EUROPE 2026

We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for our upperclassmen next year, a 10-day Europe trip in May 2026, departing just a few days after graduation! This unforgettable journey will take students to Berlin, Prague, Krakow, and Budapest. The trip will be led by Mr. Noble and Dr. Mitchell, providing a unique perspective, connecting the historical significance of these destinations with biblical insights. It’s a perfect graduation gift or an amazing way to kick off the summer.

Don’t miss out on this chance to explore Europe with your classmates and teachers, and from a Biblical perspective.

There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in the trip on Tuesday, August 19th at 6pm in the cafeteria.

Please note: All students attending must be a current GCHS student or GCHS graduate of the 2026 class at the time of the trip.

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

Our first “KNIGHT OUT” game is scheduled for Friday, August 22nd at 7:00pm during our football team’s first home game against Wickenburg! This district-wide community event is the first of many being hosted at GCHS athletic events this year. GCS students: wear your KNIGHT NATION shirt, and be entered to win a prize at halftime! We will have food, drinks, and snacks for sale, and bounce houses/face painting for the kids. Pre-game action starts at 6:00pm with ice cream sandwiches provided (in the cafeteria) for all students who show up early to make signs, paint their faces, and get ready to cheer on the Knights!

Just a reminder that GCS staff and students receive free entrance to all regular-season home games. If you would like to purchase a “Season Pass” for 2025-26 athletic events, click HERE. Regular season individual game tickets can be purchased via GoFan for $5.

We are hiring! If you know a great candidate or would be interested in coaching boys volleyball in the spring, we would love to hear from you. Check out our job posting HERE and send applicants our way!

Go Knights!
