From our Principal
Dear GCHS Families,
This week marks a bittersweet milestone, the last time our Seniors will be on campus. As they wrap up classes, walk their familiar paths one last time, and prepare for graduation, we are all feeling the weight of this meaningful transition. These students have grown in wisdom, faith, and leadership, and we are incredibly proud of who they’ve become.
One moment that truly touched my heart this week was hearing a few of our Seniors share their testimonies during Chapel. Each story was raw, personal, and filled with the faithfulness of God. Some shared triumphs, others shared pain, but every testimony pointed to Christ. I believe all of us walked away reminded of the power of God’s hand at work in our lives.
Parents, thank you for partnering with us through these formative years. Teachers, thank you for faithfully sowing into these students day after day. And Seniors, thank you for all the wonderful memories and the legacy you are leaving behind.
For such a time as this,

9th-11th Grade Finals
In elective courses, assessments are administered in class during the days leading up to the scheduled Final Exam Days. In other words, no elective classes will have final exams on May 20th, 21st, or 22nd. Final exams are administered in the core academic departments (Bible, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages) according to the schedule below:
Tuesday, May 20 (Half Day)
7:45-9:00 Period 1 Final Exam
9:00-9:10 Snack Break/Passing Period
9:10-10:25 Period 2 Final Exam
10:30-11:45 Period 3 Final Exam
Wednesday, May 21 (Half Day)
7:45-9:00 Period 4 Final Exam
9:00-9:10 Snack Break/Passing Period
9:10-10:25 Period 5 Final Exam
Thursday, May 22 (Half Day)
7:45-9:00 Period 6 Final Exam
9:00-9:10 Snack Break/Passing Period
9:10-10:25 Period 7 Final Exam
The Fine Print:
- For periods when a student does not have a final exam, they do not have to be in attendance.
- Example #1: If student does not have a Period 3 exam because they have an elective during Period 3, they can be picked up after 10:25am
- Example #2: If a student does not have a Period 4 final exam they can arrive at 9:00am.
- Regardless of the time arriving or leaving, students should use the usual east entrance by the cafeteria and parents the typical driveline area for drop off and pick up.
- If a student has no Period 2 Final Exam on Tuesday (because that is an elective for them), then they report to the cafeteria for a supervised study hall.
- If a student is at school during any other period when they do not have a final exam (when they would typically have an elective), then they report to the cafeteria for a supervised study hall.
- Once the exam periods have finished for the day, students should be off campus unless under the direct supervision of a staff member.
- In order to maintain as much focus during final exams, students cannot be called out of class or dismissed from school in the middle of an exam period.
EUROPE 2026
We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for our upperclassmen next year, a 10-day Europe trip in May 2026, departing just a few days after graduation! This unforgettable journey will take students to Berlin, Prague, Krakow, and Budapest. The trip will be led by Mr. Noble and Dr. Mitchell, providing a unique perspective, connecting the historical significance of these destinations with biblical insights. It’s a perfect graduation gift or an amazing way to kick off the summer.
Join us for an informational meeting:
Date: Wednesday, May 14th
Time: 5:30 PM
Location: Gilbert Christian High School Cafeteria
Don’t miss out on this chance to explore Europe with your classmates and teachers, and from a Biblical perspective.
Please note: All students attending must be a current GCHS student or GCHS graduate of the 2026 class at the time of the trip.
SAFETY
Please drive cautiously when entering campus, especially by maintaining a safe speed. Due to ongoing construction, there are many blind spots, heavy machinery, and workers present. Slowing down will help prevent accidents and ensure everyone’s safety.
A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
Wow! What a week in athletics. Alex Heyn and Lillie Duitsman are your 2025 AIA Beach Volleyball Pairs State Champions! The duo had an incredible week, taking down Mesquite and Barry Goldwater on Tuesday to advance to the round of four. On Thursday, the third-seeded Knights bested a talented No. 2 Estrella Foothills’ squad in straight sets (21-19, 21-12), to earn a place in the final. With the title on the line, Heyn and Duitsman left it all on the sand, upsetting undefeated No. 1 Saguaro (21-14, 21-13) to capture beach volleyball’s first-ever state championship. Excellent work, Alex and Lillie! We are SO proud of you.
Congratulations to our baseball team for its 10-0 mercy rule victory over Odyssey Institute in the 2025 AIA Baseball 3A State Championships! The No. 4 Knights advance to the quarterfinal round with the win, and will square off against No. 5 Seton Catholic on Saturday evening (6:30pm) at home.
Boys volleyball is also getting ready for its first round state tournament contest, which will take place at home tonight (6:00pm) versus No. 11 Cicero Prep. Our boys team is so fun to watch, we hope that you can make it out to support them!
The track and field team has qualified 17 athletes for this year’s AIA Division IV State Championship meet. The two-day competition begins this afternoon (2:15pm field, 3:00pm track) and continues through Saturday (2:00pm field, 4:00pm track). All events will be held at Deer Valley High School. Go Knights!
Golf wrapped its regular season on Wednesday, and is set to compete in its respective state on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13. The 2025 AIA Division III Golf Championships will be played at Aguila Golf Course (Laveen, Ariz.). Competition will begin at 9:00am on both days.
