Principal’s Paragraph

Dear GCHS Parents,

I was fortunate enough to travel back east last week and spend some time with my uncles and cousins. Naturally, questions came up about my new role at the school, and I was able to share with my family how much I love my job and Gilbert Christian Schools.

I was also able to share with them what makes Gilbert Christian Schools so unique, that we partner with parents to prepare the next generation to impact the world for Christ. I spoke about our Chapels, athletics, academics, and how all are done within a biblical worldview. I talked about how our staff and parents are all professing believers, and how we consider the partnership and responsibility of coming alongside of you as you raise your precious gifts God has given you an honor. Lastly, I talked about how we don’t sway as the culture sways, but how we filter every decision, event, and all that we do through Scripture for the glory of God. It brought tears to my eyes as I shared about the wonderful and special place Gilbert Christian is. I truly believe there is no better place for your student to be.

With that being said, today is the last day for re-enrollment. If you haven’t done so yet, get your student registered to come back next year! We know God has big things in store, and can’t wait to see how it all unfolds as we partner together.

For such a time as this,

SAFETY

Please be careful when driving onto campus, especially in regard to speed. Because of construction, there are lots of blind spots, heavy machinery, and workers on site. Reducing speed when driving through will help us to prevent any unnecessary accidents or issues.

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

It is hard to believe that our winter sports teams are finishing their respective regular season contests next week, and preparing for the postseason!

We honored our five boys soccer seniors last Saturday before their match against Page, and we have three more 2025 senior events to go! The first is today after school, for our girls soccer players. The Knights’ match is slated to begin at 4:00pm, so bring a tissue and stay late as we recognize Caprice, Kinley, Ella, and Michelle after their game with Bourgade Catholic.

Next week, we will acknowledge the important contributions of our basketball seniors. Girls hoops senior night is on the docket Monday, February 3rd. We will salute the fabulous four (Gracie, Karissa, Mileigh, and Kaila) prior to the start of the Knights’ 6:00pm game against San Tan Foothills.

The final celebration will be for Class of 2025 seniors Jace, Owen, Logan, Tyler, Rydan, and Asher. Their contest versus regional foe ALA-Ironwood will begin at 7:00pm (Thursday, February 6th), following the acknowledgment of the hard work that these players have put in as members of our boys hoops program.

Spring is coming! Who is ready for tennis, baseball, softball, golf, track and field, girls beach volleyball, and boys indoor volleyball?!
