FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE

TO SEND OR NOT TO SEND?

As we enter into cold and flu season, it can be hard to know when to keep your child home. If your child should have any of the following they should be kept home:

*Fever of 100 degrees or higher

*Eyes that have drainage

*Rashes, hives, blisters, skin drainage or other skin abnormalities

*Vomiting

*Diarrhea

If your child has been diagnosed with an infection (strep, etc.) that requires the use of antibiotics they must have been on the antibiotics for 24 hours before they may return to school.

It is safe for them to return to class once they are fever free, no longer vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours without the use of any medication.  During this season you can help to ensure your children stay well by helping to encourage healthy habits such as good nutrition, plenty of rest, adequate hydration, coughing/sneezing into our elbows and most importantly, HAND WASHING, (our best defense against illness). If you have any questions, please contact the Health Office.

SkyTree Book Fair

We are hosting a SkyTree Book Fair from 11/18-11/27.   SkyTree is a nonprofit organization committed to family-friendly, rooted in truth, book fairs that let kids be kids.  Please see the flier and catalog for more information. We will have most products on hand at time of purchase.

**We are looking for volunteers, if you are interested please sign up HERE

LOST AND FOUND

Our Lost and Found sections are overflowing.  Please stop by the elementary and middle school sides of campus to look through them.  All items not claimed will be donated at Christmas Break.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

We would like to invite all Grandparent(s) to a special assembly on November 27th. You will be blessed with performances from Pre-K through 5th grade classes to honor YOU!  Grandparents RSVP HERE

**Don’t forget to fill out the release permission slip by 7pm on 11/26.

Grandparents may begin arriving at 9:00 am for refreshments by the gym.  The program will begin at 9:30 in the Gym. Photo backdrops will be stationed throughout the campus for family pictures after the program.  Permission slips will go home soon so that students may be signed out from their classroom after the performance, as this is an Early Dismissal Day.  Be sure to visit the Sky Tree Book Fair as part of your morning events in the Office Breezeway.

CANDY GRAMS

STUCO will be selling Christmas Candy Grams for $1.00/each or 11/$10.00 every morning before school from 12/2-12/13.  They will be located in front of the middle school gate from 7:15am-7:40am.  Parents and students can purchase candy grams and write a sweet note to their child, a friend or staff member on the back. **Please bring exact cash or change to make your purchase.

LEFTOVER CANDY? WE CAN HELP WITH THAT!

FELLOWSHIP FRIDAYS

In an effort to facilitate an opportunity for parents and kids to fellowship together on campus, we will be opening our playground on most Fridays from 3:30-5 PM.  **This is not a school supervised event.  Please be prepared to stay and monitor your child.  We are only providing a space for Friday fun.

DRIVELINE

During the AM and PM driveline please make sure to use your blinker as you are entering and exiting the curb line. It greatly helps our driveline staff, the family’s walking along the driveline, and those trying to cross the street at the end of the driveline. We appreciate your partnering as we try to load kids as quickly and safely as possible.

STAFF CHRISTMAS PARTY RAFFLE

We’re collecting donations for the Staff Raffle Party. If you would like to bless our staff & create a raffle basket or donate items, we are collecting them in the front office starting now through 12/2. We appreciate all they do for our students & can’t wait to bless them at their Staff Christmas Party. Ask the front office if you have any questions, or email [email protected].
