High School 04.25.2025

From our Principal

Happy Friday, GCHS Parents,

This week, we held our last all staff meeting for the year. During our time together, we set our eyes on all that God has done for GCHS this past school year. Remembering what He brought us through, brought us to, and taught us, led to rejoicing, mourning, and all of it in between. There has been no doubt that God has done mighty things, and that we have grown closer to Him as a staff because of it.

Allow me to encourage you, parents, to do this same exercise with your teenager before summer hits. As you know, stereotypical teenage angst can allow for our students to focus on the negative/what could have been, instead of having a heart of gratitude for what God has done. Take some intentional time as a family to praise God for how he worked this past school year. He is worthy of our praise.

For such a time as this,

Please drive cautiously when entering campus, especially by maintaining a safe speed. Due to ongoing construction, there are many blind spots, heavy machinery, and workers present. Slowing down will help prevent accidents and ensure everyone’s safety.

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

Softball is home tonight at Titan Solar Park (Greenfield campus), hosting regional opponent Payson for senior night. The game starts at 6:00pm, but get there early to honor our 2025 graduates in their last home contest!

Track and field is having an excellent season, and is looking strong down the stretch. The Knights have one meet remaining, the Seton Catholic Last Chance Qualifier, on April 29th. The field events will begin at 4:00pm, with the track races not far behind, at 4:30pm. Go Knights!

Baseball senior night is on the docket for Monday, April 28th, prior to the 6:00pm showdown between the Knights and ALA-Ironwood. It’s the final regular season match-up of the year, so let’s show up to support the squad before it heads into state tournament games!

Boys volleyball senior night is also fast approaching, slated for Thursday, May 1st, before the Knights’ 5:30pm competition against ALA-Anthem South. This team is so fun to watch, so bring your best energy and we guarantee that these guys will match it! Let’s go!

The Volunteer Hours deadline for the current school year is approaching.  Students, please submit all hours to the form by April 30th.

Aspiring teachers, did you know that NAU offers a fully funded teaching degree program?  This covers the entire cost of tuition, plus fees. Please check out the Arizona Teacher’s Academy website for more information.
