High School 11.01.2024

Principal’s Paragraph

We are so blessed by the Lord in so many ways!  On Tuesday, October 29th, we broke ground on our new High School Addition!  We appreciate the continued partnerships with our community and families as our goal is to provide a Christ-centered education to as many families as possible.  We pray for continued blessings in not only classrooms but also in-class experiences that bring glory to our God!

A verse that particularly resonated with me today was Galatians 1:10.  For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?  Or am I trying to please man?  If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.  We at GCHS will Glorify Christ and do what is best for our students.  We strive to please God in all facets at GCHS.  We pray our partnership continues to strengthen as we grow!

  • You’re Invited: If you are/have a Veteran in the GCS community, we would be honored for you to attend the assembly & reception. Please RSVP here.
  • Wall of Honor: If you have a Veteran you want featured in the Wall of Honor, please pick up a star at the front desk and return the star by Friday, November 1st.
  • Reception & Decorating Committee: We are in  need of volunteers to help decorate the assembly space, set up/donate the refreshments & coffee, and help tear down. If you are interested, please sign up here and I will be in contact with you.
  • Parking Spots for Veterans: Due to the construction that will be taking place on campus, we are asking Seniors and Juniors who drive to give up their parking spot for a visiting Veteran. This would mean they would need to carpool or be dropped off/picked up. If any Seniors or Juniors are interested in giving up their spot for a Veteran, please email Holly Garza directly. Thank you!
  • Dress Code: We are asking all staff, students, and families to wear Red, White, and/or Blue to the assembly. Veterans in attendance, we would love for you to wear your uniform if you still have it!
