FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
As we wrap up the end to the first quarter, I am thankful for the many ways you have partnered with us to point your children to Jesus, continue cultivating a thriving school community, and show excellence in academic growth. The second quarter always seems to fly by with many events, holiday breaks and opportunities to engage on campus, which you will see listed below.
In an exciting announcement, we will be adding TWO new events this year – a Mother Son event in the Spring and a Grandparents Day this Fall. In November, we will celebrate all the amazing Grandparents who are part of our community! These precious family members have been placed by God to support you in raising your children up to know, walk and serve Jesus. More information about what this event will encompass will be coming soon, but for now, reach out to Grandparents who would like to attend and have them mark their calendars for our 1st annual Grandparents Day, Wednesday, November 27th. Mrs. Ehlers and I can’t wait to see them all on our campus.

Winter Sports Registration Info
GCS participates in the Cactus Christian Schools League, and as such we are able to offer the following programs for the winter sports season: baseball (boys), softball (girls), and cross country (coed).
Registration deadline for winter sports is October 31. To register, the student athlete must have a completed physical that is current in the last 12 months. Fall Break is a great opportunity to get those physicals completed if you have not done so already. Once the physical is completed, registration can be finalized through Teamsnap.

GCS Youth Pitching Camp
November 2nd, 9:00am-12:00pm
The GCS Youth Pitching Camp allows players in 5th-8th grades to receive valuable instruction in the art of baseball pitching. Our goal is to equip pitchers with the tools they need to pitch at a high level. Players will go through a series of drills breaking down the mechanics, PFP (pitchers fielding practice), proper throwing progression, pick-offs, and the mental approach. Camp is led by GCHS Head Coach, Josh Bailey. Please reach out to Coach Bailey at [email protected] with any questions.
Check GCSKNIGHTS.COM for more athletic information.
