1ST QUARTER CONFERENCE SIGN UPS
Our 1st quarter conferences are coming up on 10/24 and 10/25! Please follow the links HERE for the appropriate grade level sign ups
Half-Day Lunchtime FUN-draiser!!! If you are considering going out to lunch during our conference half-days, we hope you will stop by Mod Pizza at San Tan Marketplace in the Costco plaza any time (10/24) and Texas Roadhouse @ 3961 S. Gilbert Road between 11am- 3:30pm (10/25). Meet up with your friends and enjoy some food, while helping support GCS Val Vista. Mention GCS Val Vista and show the flyers attached. A percentage of sales will be donated back to our campus.
Fabric Donations:
Do you happen to have any large pieces of fabric that you need to get rid of? Mrs.Vanni will happily take any fabric donations for the middle school classes as they are getting ready to make a Wearable Piece of Art for their next project. FOOD DRIVE
We are excited for our annual Food Drive where we come together as a community to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help those in need. We would love for your children to be involved in the process of bringing in items to benefit Sunshine Acres.
FELLOWSHIP FRIDAYS
In an effort to facilitate an opportunity for parents and kids to fellowship together on campus, we will be opening our playground on most Fridays from 3:30-5 PM. **This is not a school supervised event. Please be prepared to stay and monitor your child. We are only providing a space for Friday fun.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
Picture retake day is Wednesday, October 2nd. Retakes will take place in the morning. If you purchased a package and want a retake, have your student bring your package with them to retake. The photographer will scan that package envelope which will automatically produce a new package for them with their new image.
If you did not purchase a package from the original picture day, your child needs to be prepared to leave for retakes when our volunteers come to get them. You will get a proof when pictures are back and can order from that, or online.
If your child missed the original picture day or is a new student, they should be prepared to leave for retakes when our volunteers come to get them.
Retakes are in uniform dress code, and are only on Wednesday 10/2. If your child’s schedule does not include class on Wednesday, you will need to bring your kiddo to school in the morning, sign in and escort them to the gym.
4th GRADER PARK PASS
Does your family love exploring the outdoors? Every fourth grader can get a free national park pass through the Every Kid Outdoors program. Use this link to get your pass and start enjoying God’s creation.

ROOTED IN PRAYER
Please join other parents on Friday mornings from 7:45-8:30 am in the Conference Room to pray over staff and students. DRIVELINE
During the AM and PM driveline please make sure to use your blinker as you are entering and exiting the curb line. It greatly helps our driveline staff, the family’s walking along the driveline, and those trying to cross the street at the end of the driveline. We appreciate your partnering as we try to load kids as quickly and safely as possible.
