Principal’s Paragraph
We are blessed beyond measure here at Gilbert Christian High School! The Lord has provided an opportunity to increase the amount of souls who learn and fellowship in these walls. As we officially broke ground on the new addition last week, I prayed that the “Fruit of the Spirit” from Galatians 5 would manifest in our actions and words during the next few months! Please pray for the workers to safely complete our new classrooms that will house our staff and students. Please pray for the students and staff as they travel to and from our beautiful campus. We appreciate your partnership, and thank you for your help in preparing the next generation to impact the world for Christ!

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
It has been so fun to watch our athletes compete this week! Boys’ soccer had its home opener on Monday, which they won in dramatic come-from-behind fashion to defeat Yuma Catholic 5-3. Girls’ soccer also grabbed a huge win on Monday, mercy-ruling Yuma Catholic 10-2 on the road in their first contest of the season.
Boys’ hoops won its third-straight, moving to 3-0 with a 57-50 victory over Seton Catholic on the road. The Knights were led by seniors Jace Olson and Owen Fermoyle, who scored 18 and 14, respectively. The girls’ basketball squad dropped a close contest to Seton at home 35-33, but battled down the stretch behind 12 points from junior guard Tylee Fox.
Girls’ basketball is home tonight for a JV/Varsity double-header against Pusch Ridge. The JV game is scheduled for 4:30pm, and tip-off for the varsity contest is at 6:00pm.
Next week is a busy week for all of the Knights’ winter squads, as all four of our programs play at home on Tuesday! You can catch JV boys’ basketball or varsity girls’ soccer at 4:00pm, varsity girls’ basketball at 5:30pm, varsity boys’ soccer at 6:00pm, and varsity boys’ basketball at 7:00pm. Phew!
Go Knights!
