Principal’s Paragraph:
The world our children are growing up in is entirely different from the one we experienced in our childhood. We must protect them while we can, as before long they will be on their own. The staff at Gilbert Christian High School is dedicated to providing a strong, biblically based education for our students. You have made the decision to place your child at our campus so they can learn how to strengthen their faith and be under the protection of Christ followers. We appreciate the support we have received with our technology policy. We have all seen the misuse of technology lead to many sins, and GCHS will not permit this to happen during the instructional day. 2 Thessalonians 3:3-5 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Chapel Recap
Chapel & small group will be held Wednesday, September 11th, from 9:40-11:34. Please avoid scheduling appointments during this time. This week, our Chapel time will focus on “Passing Through.” Students & staff will hear from Bible teacher Alex Miller, on what it means to be an elect exile. During small group time all students will be digging into the Gospel. This is the necessary foundation for both Identity (small group focus for 9th-11th) and adulthood (small group focus for 12th). Reminder, you can watch all previous Chapels here.
These are the songs we will be singing on Wednesday!

A NOTE FROM OUR ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
Congratulations to our varsity volleyball team for its victory at the Longhorn Invitational in Payson last weekend! The Knights went undefeated in pool and bracket play to bring home a shiny new plaque for their trophy case! Read about the team effort HERE.
Cross country got off to a great start at the Chandler Invite on Saturday, where 12 runners competed for GCHS! Half of the Knights’ participants medaled in the meet, and just about every returner bested their 2023 times from the same course. We are so proud of our hard-working XC team. Check out a summary of the event HERE.
Our swim team had its first meet yesterday in Sedona against Prescott and Sedona Red Rocks. Football was also in action last night, at ALA-Ironwood. No Friday Night Lights tonight, but we do have XC athletes competing bright and early tomorrow in the Great Western Equinox Invitational at Freestone Park. Be on the lookout for recaps, which can be found on gcsknights.com.
Go Knights!
