Gilbert Christian Schools is searching for an instrumental music teacher for Orchestra, Concert Band, and/or Guitar for students in grades 9 through 12 beginning with the 2023-24 school year. GCHS has a long tradition of offering a full chamber string ensemble class and a growing concert band program, as well as introductory and advanced classes in guitar. The position and specific courses taught will be tailored to the instrumental strengths and experience of the ideal candidate and there is the possibility that this position could be combined with other staffing needs to create a full-time position if desired. Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Music Education or Bachelor of Music degree, experience teaching and/or performing orchestral or concert band music, and conducting experience. The ideal candidate will have a teaching endorsement or certificate (e.g., State certification, ACSI certificate) in Music Education, a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level.
